My best wishes to Terry and Skip. Fond memories of cub scouts and building the wooden race cars in Cub Scouts...more than a few years or decades ago. Also remember your mom taking you out to Brown's for a hot fudge sunday for either Terry's or Skip's birthday. I got to come along. After I left Cambell Hall, didn't have any contact. The death of your father was a shame, and I am so sorry for you. Lost my folks 2005. My dad used to go to Sepulvada VA to get some of his meds. Did not know at the time that your mom worked there. Best wishes to you and your family. Bruce Malby Added: April 12, 2017

I grew up admiring Audie Murphy and his heroism after watching the movie "To Hell and Back". I then looked for and have watched most of his movies over the years. He was a greatest hero of our "Greatest Generation", and a fine actor. His premature loss was a very sad day for me. Added: April 9, 2017

I was a good friend of Audie in California and we saw each other alot. I knew him from Universal Studios. We were both from Texas.I am still sad that he has passed. I wish his two sons the best. Their Dad was great and I really loved him. When I knew him my name was Nancy Finley. God bless his sons!!! ![]() Added: April 3, 2017 Powered by PHP Guestbook - brought to you by PHP Scripts

Terry & Skip,
Your Dad has been a source of inspiration throughout my life. It started with myself and my Dad watching To Hell and Back on television in the late 60's?
Not too far into the movie, my Dad told me this was a true story, it really happened. I ask Dad what the soldier's name was? He said Audie Murphy. I said, no
the real guy? He said his name is Audie Murphy and that's him. Getting frustrated, I said no not the actor, what was the real solder's name! This went on for a couple minutes, and it eventually got through to me that Audie Murphy was a soldier and an actor!
I was captivated as I watched the movie. Thinking this is a real story and "that guy" IS Audie Murphy. And using a real General for the introduction with his words of praise for your Father was genius, along with the MOH presentation. The pictures of his fallen friends, great stuff then and now.
It is a happy memory, watching your Dad and the time spent with my Dad. I hope both of you are healthy and happy.
