I would like to say that this years Farmerville Audie Murphy Day Parade was great and that it was a good history lesson for my grandson that just turned 12. Al he kept saying after the parade and exhibits was that it was too hot to be there. But he made it..

Audie Murphy is an inspiration to me when I first joined the Army I heard some stories and told myself I would love to be just like him. His actions have taught many things about life he never gave up on what he believed in in life. I am a SFC now and my goal is to go to the board and become inducted in the Sergeant Audie Murphy club.

I was reading a post of Facebook about the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and Audie was mentioned in the article. I wanted to research him and his honors. God Bless him and all of the past, present, and future service men and women!

I served in the same units as Mr.Murphy from 1959-1961.I wS IN THE !ST Amoror Division.I was stationed in Fort Hood Texas for 18 months in a strike unit to go anywhere in 72 hours. I was too young for the Korean conflict and too early for the Vietnam conflict, but if called upon I was ready.
Thank You
PFC. Gerald Meyer :) :)
