I wish all 17 year olds would take the time to look at his life and awards
Let alone accomplish everything he did

There is not enough good that can be said about Audie Leon Murphy aka Li'l Texas, one of the most courageous war heroes and heroes of humanity in all its aspects of all time.
All should pay attention and learn from and pay respects to his life and eternal contribution in the face of impossible odds in many areas of life not just in WWII he showed the example of the limits which in his case was UNLIMITED COURAGE AND FAITH to achieve and win and win and succeed he did and his amazing life after the war was cut short far too soon by the plane crash.

My Dad was a in awe of Audie Murphy. My Dad grew up poor in Texas and enlisted in the Navy in 1946. His ship, USS TOPEKA, was bringing Japanese from Shanghai, China, to Yokosuka, Japan. My Dad also served in the U.S. Army 1950 to 1957 (50-51 in Korea). My Dad loved the movies Audie was in and I grew up watching his movies. He is one of the heroes that I respect. :o

My Mother was a big fan, not only of the Movies but the Soldier. I was in Arlington five years ago or so and was so pleased to visit his gravesite. It was an honor.
