Tue. June 26,2018 Pres.Trump awarded the CMO to a 1st Lt. Garland M. Conner who passed away 20 years ago. He was also in 3rd Inf.Div. They said he ranked 2nd to Audie Murphy. (with awards). There were many uncanny things about him that resembled Audie and his deeds. They said 1st Lt.Conner was 5ft,6in and weighed 120 pounds. Was very interesting info. Audie always said there were guys that should have gotten medals and never did. There have been several who have received awards many years later. I think Audie would have been pleased to know that. His wife said Lt. Conner NEVER spoke of his deeds during the war. Wonder if the two ever crossed paths on the battlefield somewhere. I salute all veterans past and present.

I live in Lindale, Texas and have always admired Audie Murphy. As a child my dad told me who he was and how courageous he was while in the military.

I always enjoyed his movies. He was a true gentleman and a good actor as well. Very sorry when I heard of his tragic accident.

Am watching your movie, Seven Ways From Sundown. Mr. Murphy, I want to thank you for being you. My father and my brother both served in the military. The "Army" to be exact. I always enjoy your movies, I wish I could have met you. You always made me feel as if I knew you. Thank you for what you did and for your movies. Thank you, Sir.

I grew up on Audie Murphy re-runs, and have dedicated most all my Sundays to "cowboy" shows after church. It just makes me feel a bit better to watch them (the cowboy shows),and gives me strength somehow to take on the next week of work in the rat race we now all live in.
To be honest Audie Murphy wasn't my favorite cowboy actor, that was saved for Ben Johnson & John Wayne. However, I do have a ton of respect for Audie Murphy, and what he went through in his life, his love for the common man, and the children of the world.
Rest In Peace Mr. Murphy. Maybe we will meet on the other side sometime...

Sincerely, Jason T. Juker
