I'm a former elementary school teacher, but I am now proud and honored to be my husband's wife and the mother of our four sons and two daughters. My late father-in-law was a veteran of WW2, Korea and Vietnam. As a homeschooling mother (the children range from second grade to junior in high school as of today), we are grateful for the right to educate our children in the way we see fit, and realize we owe all this to our veterans.
I'd like also to mention how much his wife Pamela's example inspires us, too. I regard her as a good example of wifely virtue and I have held her up to my daughters as someone they should emulate. She was such a strong woman and she must have loved him a great deal. They both went through so much suffering. We need more women like her in this country. Thank you so much for maintaining this site.

Recently got access on my TV to Youtube and searched for Audie Murphy films because he was my cowboy hero when I was a young kid. Can`t tell you the pleasure I`ve had rolling back the years watching lots of the western films in which Audie starred. Lord only knows how many bad guys and Indians he must have "killed". Great viewing, great man. So sad his life was ended so prematurely.

I had the honour a few years ago to visit the National Cemetery at Arlington. It was there that I saw and stood next to the grave of Audie L. Murphy. A true hero.
