I was very young when this young man came to the big screen. I fell in love with Audie Murphy and after I heard the story behind this young man I was in awe. He truly was a real hero, I am grateful for his service to our country.

They say that I am a hero, because I am on the front lines as a Registered Nurse at University Hospital in Indianapolis. Not So. Audie Murphy is indeed a true American Hero.

As I was growing up, my father told me about different people that he admired. One of the people at the top of his list was Audie Murphy. It is very easy to understand why. My father was a couple of years older than Audie and was a veteran from WWII, although not in the Army. Audie became one of my heroes as well. It is hard not to admire a man who took a stance on cigarette and alcohol advertising long before the FCC enacted rules about it themselves, especially when he himself was in financial trouble and needed the income. I learned values from both my father and Audie that are deeply ingrained in my own personality. Rest in Peace Audie. I was only eleven when you died. You left us all way too soon.

I'm a movie buff and enjoyed his movies. I didn't know his war history and the way he was treated by the press. Thank you for your site.

This is the most valued American soldier of all time for his profound service of 64 confirmed kills.
AUDIE LEON MURPHY stopped the Germans. I want him to get the highest possible reward. Furthermore, I recommend that Audie Leon Murphy be rewarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom Posthumously , for his heroism and work in advocating treatment for veterans with PTSD. Thank you brave soldier. America is proud of you, sir! Thank you for your PROFOUND SERVICE to MANKIND.
