I am an admirer of Audie, and have been since I can remember. I first became aware of his life story, when I saw the movie "To Hell and Back". I did not realize his exploits in WW2, but soon started reading more and more, and I discovered that he truly was an incredible human being. There was to much sadness in his life, and new the little about his own condition of post traumatic stress. I believe in my heart, that the good lord, had him listed as a leader in his army of angels. he needed him more than the rest of us. May I be lucky enough to meet him, when I make my journey to heaven.

God Bless Audie Murphy!

I am very proud that this great war hero MAJOR AUDIE MURPHY was of irish decent ,but sad to know his father walked out on his family .I have often wondered did he ever contact or support his wife and children even temporarily after that? Audie himself is truly inspirational, a real life patriotic hero, songwriter, movie star, poet, and so much more .And after all that ,he remained a gentleman who never forgot his humble beginings. LITTLE TEXAS was and is a BIG MAN. it is a privilige to honour the memory of AUDIE MURPHY .THANKS for the opportunity and a wonderful site. MOST SINCERELY JOHNNY CAWLEY TIPPERARY IRELAND

Accounts of Murphy's en-creditable bravery validates every
desire of past infantrymen for recognition of super human
achievements in defense of this country. A life well lived.
