A truly incredible man. I first read To Hell and Back when I was a teenager. The older I get, the more impressed I am by what he did. I highly recommend To Hell and Back to anyone who is interested in Audie Murphy or in World War II in general.

You'll be pleased to know that the "Whispering Smith" episode titled "The Interpreter", a tale of Sicillian Mafia violence in 1860s Denver has been found at The Library of Congress this past October 2011! It's in the latest prressings of the 3-DVD set from TMG and also seen on that website's WS page, powered by You Tube, so check it out!

I just purchased the wheel off of Audie's yacht. I plan on having it restored and donating it somewhere. Where do you think it should go?

ZAudie has been my personal hero since I was a kid and first saw his story "To hell and back ". I have also made sure my 5 kids and. 8 grandchildren know who he was. I always check Tv schedule to see if one of his movies is showing. Been pretty lucky with the Western channel of
late. May he be remembered as long as there is a United States

It is sad that too many people have already forgotten this great man.
His acting career after the war is how i know most of his story via my Father.

A great patriot and american hero.
God bless his family and his memory.

i remember watching audie`s movies when i was growing up in sydney, while watching apache rifles i commented to my father on how small and unimposing he was, then my father sat me down and told me the real story of audie murphy and said "son this is what a real hero looks like" since that day i no longer believed you had to be 6`6" tall and 280 pounds to make a difference. i salute a true american and world hero, audie murphy, gone but NEVER forgotten
