Every time I pass through Farmersville Tx I think about Mr Murphey. There is an edition on the outskirts of town named Murphey Square or something like that. Most folks do not know that Farmersville was his hometown. He was a brave young man fighting for our country when I was only 1 yr old. Thank GOD for him and men and women like him. SP5 SAMMY R. Wishing continued success to this wonderfully important website which allows all whom cherish the memory of Audie Murphy to share their comments and hopefully as a consequence his tragic but inspiring life story will never be forgotten. Finally, its a little ironic that I actually watch Audies westerns these days to forget the modern wars that seem unending in our planet today. R.I.P Audie Murphy as we hope for peace for all mankind.. Sincerley Johnny cawley IRELAND

I really enjoy this website. It is very informative and has a lot of information to offer our younger generation of soliders. It gives a lot of inspirational values that most of our younger generations needs to know and try and understand and use.

Together with Douglas MacArthur, Ike, Patton, Churchill, Audie Murphy was one of my boyhood heroes. "To Hell and Back" gave me my first insight and admiration of America's most decorated hero from The Great War. Together with Seargeant York, Audie truly deserve to be remembered as one of America's true heroes for their bravery, valor, and gallantry in service not only to America but to the whole world.

What can be said about a kid who braved a bloody war and came out a hero. My god what that kid went through! Our teenagers now play video games and text. I'm humbled by his bravery and courage.
