When I was young I saw every movie Audie Murphy performed. He was my hero but at that time (I was 15 years old) I didnt know what a real hero he was. When I found out what he did in war to earn all the medals he surely deserved, I had in mind to go to Washington and visit Arlington cemetery and in 1990 I went there. Of course I visited John Kennedy (with which I had the chance of shaking hands with him in 1963 in Italy at Malpensa airport)grave and then I started looking for Audie Murphy's grave and found it. For both these gentlemen I said a prayer.

As I recall he was a loving and generous Brother and uncle. A great American. He had bought his sister her house in Monterey. Near Lake El Estero. And it may still be in the family. It was the same color when I drove by a 5 years ago.A beautiful sky blue. I moved and lost contact with Patty Cummings ..I saw her breifly in SanJose around 1973 near Toys R, us we were both in a hurry it was lunch time, and we didnt exchange numbers. She was married and I forgot her married name.We had a lot of fun in school great family. It was so long ago but I remember Patty had lost her daddy seems, before 1966. she had brothers they wer always picking a fight with her as boys do. She was like me we didnt take any guff we could give it right back. Well God Bless you all!! where ever you are. And God Bless America she needs it right now...
