I have six children (two of which are active duty military, a daughter int the army in Afghanistan and a son in the Navy deployed to the Persian Gulf) and it is important for all young people to truly understand what America stands for and to know honest history of some of the greatest Americans like Mr. Murphy. Thank God for him and others who fought and continue to fight for our freedoms.

I have been an Audie Murphy fan since I was a young boy. He became and remains one of my heros ever since I was taken to his movie to Hell and Back by my Uncle. I just watched it again on Youtube and had tears in my eyes. Thank you for this memorial to a great and true American Hero. The Audie Murphy.

My father was in WWII and I was raised knowing about Audie Murphy, and I find it sad that younger people today don't seem to know about him.
