Thank you for preserving the memory of someone who truly deserves to be remembered for the gallantry he bestowed on our nation.

Being a Retired Army Vet, I grew up with Mr. Murphy as one of my Heroes. Sadly there are no replacements for men like him for our current generation to look up to as their hero or role model. God help us.

As a child growing up my parents often took the family,
my 2 sisters and I to the drive-in movies, very popular
back then in the fiftys and sixtys. My dad, who was a
marine in WW2, always loved to go when an Audie Murphy
movie was on. He loved to see him. I never understood
his fasination of course, until I was grown. Now my
husband and I watch his movies on the old western channel
and love them, now that I know the history of the man.
what a true hero he was. God bless him, and the others
that keep our country free.

He defined the character of our nation which seems to be slipping away. By remembering Audie's willingness to sacrifice himself for what we enjoy today, freedom, we remember who we are as a nation. By forgetting those who paved the way for us, we forget who we are and what we stand for as a nation. Thank you Audie Murphy and all our Veterans.

I have found audio's life fascinating and always loved his movies - I just wish hollywood had given him the directors he deserved and I wish they would think of remaking to hell and back
This website is a wonderful tribute to this man and I too hope he has not been forgotten
I was happy to learn of the tribute to him at his death site in va.
