I enjoyed reading all about Audie Murphy. I knew about his war heroics but didn't realize that he also wrote music. I'm so glad he has been honored and remembered.

I greatly enjoyed the westerns of Mr. Murphy and Randolph Scott, as I was growing up. I'm now a retired grandma. I continue to watch both of their westerns, so I guess I'll be fortunate enough to always see their movies. Thank you Mr. Murphy for your service to this great nation.

I think he was one of the most heroic soldiers and men of our time. He was a great actor too.
I have always admired him, love his movies and actually have had a crush on him since I was a little girl.
This country needs more good men and patriots like him.
I was deeply saddend when he passed.
Thanks for the site that keeps his memory alive.
God bless

I use to watch Mr. Murphy with my dad, he loved cowboy pictures, then there was something about him I just could not stop watching anytime he was on tv or in a book I had to watch or read. I know this is sad but the first book I ever read all the was though (non horsey that is)was "To Hell and Back" I have read it many times since and would again but mine got torn up. I am still looking for another copy. Because of what I knew about him my sister received an A in history. I now watch movies with my daughter and she can tell people about him. I hope he well never be forgotten.

What an example for our children (and me). Now if our schools would only tell our children of his life.
