Thank God for the movie they made of Audie "To Hell In Back" or I probably would not have learned of the bravery of this Hero. After surviving all those battles it is terrible that he had to die so young. He will always be a hero in my eyes.

As a youngster I used to watch Audie Murphy movies and love them and him.
I most admired him for the war hero he was. My father was a returned soldier from the Second World War. (My father was A Rat Of Tobruk)
The world is a lesser place for not having people like Audie Murphy in it today.

Although I am a U.S. Marine, the movie "To Hell And Back" inspired me to Enlist in the U.S. Armed Forces. A great movie, especially when the Lead actor portrays himself.

I am a recent inductee in the SAMC and I am all inspired by this phenominal American.

I now use this site during our weekly SAMC study hall at my unit.

Great to be here.
