My father is a World War II veteran and I AM VERY PROUD OF HIM FOR SERVING AND AUDIE MURPHY HAS BEEN MY OTHER HERO AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER. HE DID A SERVIVE THAT NO OTHER AMERICAN HAS EVER DONE AND DIDN'T THINK HE WAS ANYTHING SPECIAL. I CAN YOU HE WAS VERY SPECIAL TO A LOT OF PEOPLE INCLUDING MY DAD. phyllis watson newnam Added: May 27, 2012
Comment:
I have always respected Audie Murphy for the courage he had and the leadership that he displayed at such a young age during WWII. I love all of his movies and never tire of watching "To Hell and Back," and hate that he died at such a young age. The world lost a wonderful person too soon. Added: May 27, 2012
