You probbly wont print this today where I have already written but maybe put it on May 17 - however I did read that there will be a ceremony at the Arlingotn National Cemetary on Monday May 28th 2012 Memorial Day at 11 am
at the tomb of the unknown soldier with the laying of a wreath and concert - and this is the date that Audie died in 1971 - May 28th (also his mom's bday) just wanted to remind Audie's fans of this perhaps they will show this on a tv news show - a special remembrance for me of Audie Murphy and of course for all veterans that day

I have written before and today I read that the President will give the Medal of Honor to a Vietnam hero who died so wife and family will receive this medal.

Will he therefore ever give Audie Murphy The Presidential Medal of Freedom to his two living sons?
Isn't it time. Why can someone like Bob Hope - whom I admire and who did entertain the troops, be given such an honor and Audie a hero who is now dead 41 years never attained this award which he certainly deserves. I just dont understand how this could happen

Also again I keep watching Audie on Whats My Line video and what a humble person - he never ever answered any questions pertaining to his medals the writeups on him after war etc instead the host did all the answering. Audie Leon Murphy a sharecropper's son with that innocent face - he can never ever be replaced - his life was cut short way to early - for all he did he deserved a longer life. Thank you for this site it is quite a tribute!

I always loved his films from being a child, I never knew how brave he was or how many medals he had acheived. After fighting for his life and country to die in such unforseen circumstances was just a shame. I am glad i have visited this website and share his life. :) It has been a pleasure and a honour.
