Audie Murphy is the greatest American anyone can admire... I belong to the blue lodge #113 in Oakland, Me Itis an honor to be a freemason and know that Audie belongs as well as me. He would have made the greast Presdident of the U.S.A. we have ever had.. He is a real smart man. I would gladly have given my life just to have met him and shock his hand.. A GREAT MAN !!!!!!! He is my Masonic brother!!!!! Added: May 27, 2012

in this day and age of instant communications and personal gratification. Audie Murphy is the example of what I was taight of what a true Ametican is: selfless, loyal, and courageous. May he never be forgotten and may he rest in God's eternal love and glory. Am example to all of us. Added: May 27, 2012
Comment:
I was twenty five years old when I heard of Audie Murphy's death. I remember I was driving on the Bruckner Expressway in the bronx when I heard it on the radio. I was immediately deeply sadened when I heard it. Although I had never met him I saw him through television an read about him. I was born in 1946 and obviously nothing about the was during the war years. I am a veteran of the viet nam war having served over there in 1966 to 1967. In the late 90's my wife and I wet to Arlington and I made it a point to vist his grave. It was moving. He was a great American. Because of brave men like these we have our freedom. Family members served and an uncle died so we could be free. Thank you all with all my heart.
