I have been a huge fan of Mr. Murphy, ever since I saw "To Hell and Back", which I have also just finished watching on "AMC". My dad was a veteran of the Korean War and was very proud of him. I thank you for establishing this website.

Sincerely,
Margie

I have always enjoyed watching Audie Murphy movies. I might have had a crush on him as a young girl. I am thankful that this site exists. My friends father, Joe Krezminski was a decorated soldier (one less than Audie) , there was also Patrick Mellody who was a prisoner of war, and my father served in the Korean war. I am well aware of the sacrifices they, along with all military personnel, gave for us.
As this Memorial Day draws near I just wanted to say "Thank you for you have given, It was not done in vain. I have lived in a Russia for a short period, and know we have so much to be thankful for... Thank you Thank you Thank you for my freedom!

I seem to write constantly but only because I am hoping that audie's legacy is not completely dead. Here he is behind ms Cruz for the smithsonian again because she has a following Audie should beat her with his military following if he still has that and I am hoping he still does if he cannot get this honor I am further discouraged about the possibility of the presidential medal of freedom especially from
Obama mon is memorial day and the 41 st anniversary of Audie tragic death I feel whatever is going to be going on at Arlington for me will be a tribute to him but that's just me certainly it will be for all his comrades but again an anniversary nonetheless for Audie Leon Murphy those of you who are trying so hard to secure that special honor I am eternally grateful because it is for a remarkable man thanks for this site enjoy all the comments and feel this website is a wonderful reminder of the kid from Texas thank you
