The home page said that the next generations are not remembering people Like Lt. Murphy. And that is correct, however there are parents who push for the kids to learn about the men and women who served this country past and present. One day for they may decided to enter the ranks and defend the citizens.

I make my kids watch John Wayne, Audie Murphy in "TO Hell and Back" and other movies to make them understand. One day they will watch "Saving Private Ryan" and other modern war movies with the detail. I tell the kids War is never good but is necessary at times.

To all our Troops not matter where they have served or now stationed, My family is greatful.

Always admired the life of Audie Murphy. My Dad was named Auddie, a bit different spelling than Audie M., but my Dad, was in the Army Air Corps in WWII, too. My Dad wasn't the hero that made Mr. Murphy famous, but to me he was the best...two great men with the same name...

As someone who ha had family in every war the US has fought. I know I do not want any of them to be forgotten. My uncle was in the 3rd and landed at Normandy. Men like Audie are the reason that we are free today, and I know that I will never forget him. I show To Hell and Back to all of the kids and tell them about what it means to me so they will know Audie and I hope that they will tell their kids and keep his memory alive.

I'm somewhat of a history buff and my father was in service during World War Two. So Audie Muurphy first got my attention in the movie about his exploits during the war. Then I had an opportunity to see some interviews with him, what struck is what a humble man he was despite his courage and hmeroism.
