I want to thank you for having this website, as I utilized it for a college assignment. We were to discuss an opinion article that we found online. I chose an article on FOXNews that talks about the Distinguished Warfare Medal. Audie Murphy is made mention in the article and I used some of this information as a explaination in my paper for why the statement within the article is made "Audie Murphy must be turning in his grave". Thank You! Added: February 17, 2013

Just saw the to hell and back movie for the upteenth time. and as always it moved me so much emotionally. I for one will never forget Audie and all that he did in ww11. I remember when I heard that he was killed in an airplane crash in Virginia. I could not believe it. For someone to have gone what he went through in combat only to die in a stupid plane crash. He will always be in my mind till the day i die. Audie I salute you. Added: February 16, 2013

I remember watching everything that Audie ever did. As a young boy he was and still is my hero and he should be remembered always for all his contributions to WWII. He put himself in harms way many many times for other men and people should realize that the word hero is most times being spoken at a funeral, and usually starts with "With total disregard for his own life....". He is sorely missed by MY generation. ![]() Added: February 14, 2013 Powered by PHP Guestbook - brought to you by PHP Scripts
