I SAW "TO HELL AND BACK" AT THE GLENDALE MOVIE HOUSE ON MYRTLE AVE IN GLENDALE, L.I., N.Y.. IT WAS 1955 AND I WAS 16 AT THE TIME. I HAD NEVER HEARD OF HIM BEFORE SEEING THIS FILM. I HAVE VISITED HIS GRAVE BEHIND THE TOMB OF OUR UNKNOWN SOLDIERS. HIS MEMORY WILL ALWAYS BE WITH ME. REST IN PEACE MAJ. Just finished reading about his experiences during WW 2.
Amazing story and an amazing man, soldier, actor.
I enjoy his westerns! Wish they would make more movies like those good old westerns.
