Comment:
It is sad that almost all of our youth and young adults have no clue who our true hero's are, what they did and what it means for society today. The greatest generation will always be that. God bless America and God pray for our future. Thank you all of our veterans without you we would be nothing. Added: December 14, 2013

I am so happy and honored to be able to pay my respects to someone I consider worthy of emulating. As a young boy in Brooklyn, NY I first heard of Sgt. Murphy while watching a biographical movie with my family. I longed to follow in his footsteps but, alas, upon graduating from High School, the Viet Nam Conflict had been over now 3 years, so instead of enlisting in the Marines like I originally intended, I enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He was my role model of how to serve my country. I can only hope that he can accept my meager efforts to win his approval up there in Soldiers Heaven. He was, in my humble opinion, everything an American Military member should aspire to be.
