Petty officer 3rd Class, U.S.C.G., 72'-74': Audie Murphy is one of my favorite actors. I think the only other to hold a candle to him is Clint Eastwood. Truly a great American hero! Happy Veterans Day Audie and all Veterans!!

I have admired the bravery of Audie Murphy all my life. It has been a driving force for all I have encountered over these long years. My Dad was also a 32nd Degree Mason. Major Audie Leon Murphy's memory should never grow dim, and his legacy will live on forever. May God forever richly bless the United States of America and all of the men and women who have ever served in the Armed Forces to protect the rights, priveleges, and freedom of those who live in this great country.

I remember Audie Murphy. When I saw the question posted on Yahoo of who was the most highly decorated soldier in WWII I knew the answer immediately. He is a true American hero, someone our youth could look up to. It is sad that he is not more well known.
