Audie Murphy's life has always fascinated me. He was a childhood hero of mine. The movie" To Hell and Back" is a classic. I am sure glad this site exists to immortilize his memory.

I'm proud to say Audie & my Mom were First cousins and Mom & her 2 sisters grew up with him. I heard the many stories of him growing up and my family was always very proud of him. We must remember all our Veterans on this Veterans Day..

I am a cousin, three times removed, of Audie Murphy. My family is very proud of Audie. Although I never met him, he was always talked of with respect and great pride.

I am sorry that it is late in the day. I think of Audie Murphy and many other soldiers many times not just today being Veterans Day. Thank you Audie for all you gave to our country. May God look over your famly. I pray that many young people would loook at your story and follow in your footsteps. :o ;)
