Audie Murphy's life has always fascinated me. He was a childhood hero of mine. The movie" To Hell and Back" is a classic. I am sure glad this site exists to immortilize his memory.

I'm proud to say Audie & my Mom were First cousins and Mom & her 2 sisters grew up with him. I heard the many stories of him growing up and my family was always very proud of him. We must remember all our Veterans on this Veterans Day..

I am sorry that it is late in the day. I think of Audie Murphy and many other soldiers many times not just today being Veterans Day. Thank you Audie for all you gave to our country.
