My wife and I have a great deal of respect for Mr Murphy, along with millions of other Americans. I am not a big man so he helped me realize the size of a man or woman has very little to do with what one can accomplish. We both are also huge fans of Mr Murphy's movies. Truly a great American!! My dad Ray Eddlemon aka "Baby Ray" who was a country musician in the 70's was really good friends with Audey Murphy. My dad passed away years ago but I have quite a bit of Audie Murphy memorabilia including but not limited to one of his personal checks blank of course, school pictures of his sons, his handwriting from when he did "A time for dying", and the letter from President Nixon naming the memorial hospital after him. Why my dad had all this stuff is beyond me since he went to prison when I was a baby for murder and died in prison. I only talked to him when I was in my 20's a few times but did not know him since my mom kept us hidden so that he could not ever get out and find us. So out of the blue (because people know my story) I got a Christmas card from a friend who lives in Menifee and sent me a Menifee buzz artical about Audey so I figured I'd check out the website
