I grew up being told stories about your heroics by my grandfather, a WWII veteran. I fondly remember watching your westerns with him. Thank you for your service and God Bless.

I have always been a fan of Audie Murphy since the 1950's. Tonight I found a letter I had received from Audie postmarked November 10, 1953. Also found was an autographed picture with his horse, and a Christmas card. I have visited the museum honoring Audie and my tears flowed. I am now 73 years old. Rest in peace, audie.

I am retired US Army, my first permanent duty station was a a part of the 3rd Infantry Division in Germany from Dec 1983 to Nov 1987. I remember the Sgt Audie Murphy Club during my time there, but I don't remember it as being just begun. Thank you for reminding us of one of our heros.

BEEN LOOKING AND READING ALL ABOUT AUDIE ON THE INTERNET. HE WAS MY HERO WHEN I WAS GROWING UP. SOME THINGS I KNEW AND I ALSO LEARNED A LOT MORE ABOUT HIM. MORE SHOULD BE SAID ABOUT HIM, AS THIS YOUNGER GENERATION DO NOT KNOW ABOUT HIM.

I m totally focused on US History since childhood. I also have several college degrees dating back to the middle 70s.
I'm also a vet of the Viet Nam War.

My candid opinion is that Audie Murphy is and will always be America's greatest hero. His 3rd Div. patch stands out second to none. This Division saw action in the Middle Eastern conflicts and I ve personally (but informally) interviewed soldiers that I see wearing the patch. They still are trained to remember Audie and his fame.

Audie's humble beginnings & ultimite success are a credit to him and his progeny. The Hollywood personnel who introduced him to the movie business did America an immense favor and invaluable service. By training Mr. Murphy for Hollywood fame, they created an immortal image of a great, but humble hero.

I constantly watch all his movies and study his expressions of natural talent.

The recent expose of his ongoing bouts with PTSD serve as a hope and guidance for all vets suffering from irreparable brain damage caused by extreme stress.

Thank you, Audie and family for still being there for us on a 24/7 basis now and forever.
