Being ten years younger than Audie, all I could do was witness WW2. We need some people like him now in our government.

This is America's greatest military hero. When you take everything into consideration-age accomplishments and how quickly they were achieved.I have asked many veterans who the most decorated person in U.S. history is and they usually don't know,so I tell them and try to remember my list of those decorations when I go out so I can back it up.The list is too much for me to remember.
I do this also because I feel that the term "hero" is being used a little too loosely.I like to reference from the movie "Cool Hand Luke" the line from the prison guard "just doin my job Luke you can appreicate that",and that holds true for all of us veterans.Don't misunderstand me here ALL veterans should be honored.
Vietnam combat veteran and thankful I made it back home.

He was my childhood film cowboy favourite and all these years later he still is. I am at this moment of writing watching 40 guns to Apache Pass and he is still great!
