Amazing story....his movie To Hell and Back almost seems unbelievable...especially when trying to imagine that one man could do all of that....and yet, there is his true story. Rest in peace Audie and my every respect for what you accomplished for this country.

Fell in love with him when I was 11 years old. He has been my favourite film star ever since. Hate to say how many years ago.

A very brave, modest man. Far too honourable for Hollywood. I only wish he had had the life he deserved when he left the Army.

I Truly do think that Audie Murphy, was a great guy,his acting was great,I did admire him so very much,A great Guy so very brave he was a likeable person, such a shame when he had his terrible accident,I just could not believe it in my head for such a long time, I still think of him from this day on, I still think why do things happen like that to such nice people

Audie Murphy isn't forgotten, far from it. Just today Arizona Raiders was on tv and the announcer mentioned the fact that Mr Murphy was one of the USA's most decorated war heroes. This prompted my visit today.
