Growing up in a small town Friday night movies were are main entertainment. I liked Audie Murphy but it wasn't until later that I discovered that he was a WW11 Army Hero and the most decorated. Every since I have admired him and what he was. I am so glad I just now found this website. :!cry:

When I was stationed in Fort Hood Texas, they took great pride in the fact that Audie Murphy served in the 2nd Armored Division. I often wonder what happened to the big display they had honoring him in 2nd Armored HQ. There has definitely been some great people join the likes of Lt, Murphy, only time will tell if we see anyone as great? :)
