My dad told me about Audie Murphy a few years ago. I am astounded to read as to how many decorations he earned. A true inspiration. We enjoy what we have today as a result of such heroism. I also like watching his films but I wonder how many of the younger generation see this gentleman on film without realising what he did. Added: November 1, 2014

He was an amazing man. What he accomplished in WW11 was a tribute to the greatest generation. My father was in the Army in the South Pacific and I served in Vietnam. I also likes his movies. Added: October 31, 2014

I just finished watching memories of Audie Murphy on my computer. I never tire of watching anything to do with Audie. I wish all the children of this world would model themselves after him. I believe we may be 2nd cousins. My Dad Robert Murphy was in WW2 and said he was related to Audie, so I assume they were 2nd cousins
