My dad told me about Audie Murphy a few years ago. I am astounded to read as to how many decorations he earned. A true inspiration. We enjoy what we have today as a result of such heroism. I also like watching his films but I wonder how many of the younger generation see this gentleman on film without realising what he did. Added: November 1, 2014

As a leader within the Association of the United States Army in North Texas I (and the the membership of AUSA North Texas) are deeply interested in the life and times of Audie Murphy. As "Soldiers for Life" we remember the contributions and sacrifices of Audie Murphy during WWII. The history of his heroic acts as a soldier serve as inspirations to Americans every where and to young men and women currently serving (or considering service) in our armed forces. Thanks to the Foundation for the work you do to preserve and make available this history. v/r JP Hogan COL (R) USA North Texas State President Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Added: October 31, 2014

I just finished watching memories of Audie Murphy on my computer. I never tire of watching anything to do with Audie. I wish all the children of this world would model themselves after him. I am sure his family is proud of him. I thank Audie and all the military for our freedom. God Bless USA Added: October 30, 2014 Powered by PHP Guestbook - brought to you by PHP Scripts

I believe we may be 2nd cousins. My Dad Robert Murphy was in WW2 and said he was related to Audie, so I assume they were 2nd cousins
