Audie was not only a great soldier, but also a fine actor. I will always remember him and be grateful to him. The world lost a hero when he died.

As a child I was a fan, I saw all his movies and as I got older I bought his book, then bought copies of all his movies. To Hell and Back was the movie I watched the
most because we need heroes so much in this country and he lived it. He gave so much to his country and got so little back, but I will always be grateful. I am grateful to all the men and women who have served our country. They deserve our gratitude forever.

A hero that was to young to serve and to young to die.
Faithfully fulfilled his duty with honor and dignity.
He should be placed as an example to the men and women of this nation to show what courage and honor are about. Freedom is to be held close to our hearts, not let someone else defend us.

I think Audie Murphy was a terrific man---he fought for his country and was a War Hero---it doesn't get any better than that and to think HE IS THE MOST DECORATED HERO --My feelings go very deep for war hero's such as Audie Murphy and he was handsome and had the personna of a terrific human being. His life was never the same after his return from the service, so sad he never got the help that he needed then, we have a tendency to forget what these men went through and some still going through. Do you think we will ever understand what happens to these men after they return from war?
