Just watched again, To Hell and Back, It amazes me that he joined the army at 16 and at 19 was America's most decorated soldier. In 2001, my husband, daughter and I went to Washington DC and visited his grave at Arlington. America needs to remember Audie Murphy, he was a giver and gave so much to protect our freedoms. Thank you Mr Murphy!! Added: December 1, 2014

I am a short story writer, currently working on story 18 of 25 I intend to publish in 2016. Audie is mentioned in this one, and one other. He was a childhood hero and I often ask young Australians if they have ever heard of him. They haven't, of course, and I guess the same could probably be said about young Americans. A former film critic, I never wrote a harsh word about Audie. He was much better actor than anyone gave him credit for. He was understated - something that is far more fashionable these days. I'm delighted to have the opportunity to remember him, fondly. Added: November 28, 2014 Powered by PHP Guestbook - brought to you by PHP Scripts
