Been a devoted fan for the passed 60 years. Visited Arlington on 3 occasions to pay my respects and Holtzwhir once to stand and stare. Have just finished reading a book by Ann Levingston Joiner called, A Myth in Action, The Heroic Life of Audie Murphy. Which has made me think deeply about this mans troubled life and how he coped. Never a day goes by without thinking of Audie, thank you America for producing such a unique person. Added: November 26, 2014

Audie Murphy became one of my personal heroes at an early age, when I watched "To hell and back". To think that a young man of his stature could go on to become our most decorated soldier in history is amazing. And all the while he would just say he was just doing his job. No wonder he came home and became one of the box office's top money makers until "Star Wars". What I love the most about him is that it never went to his head. Added: November 25, 2014

I have always wanted to thank you for your selfless service to our country. When I was a child I watched ev James M. Elliottery movie you made I'm sure, but what really made me want to sign your guest book is that there just doesn't seem to be as many men such as you in this new millennium. I'm sure you where just as scared as every other young man during the war as such all intelligegent people are naturally during duress. Again thank you for your service and I just hope all of the young men in the future wars, which we all know will occur will find in there hearts to perform to there best of there abilities just as you found deep inside that it was always there. Sincerely,
