Every time I read another excerpt of Murphy's life I'm in awe of the man. Unfortunately when I mention his name to the younger generation, they have no idea who he was. I visited his grave a couple of years ago and it was a moving experience let alone all the other graves at Arlington.

I wish I could have met Mr Murphy. One of the Greatest American Soldiers we were able to have fighting for our Country! I love his movies and I do show them to my kids. Such a Great guy! RIP Mr Murphy!

Audie Murphy was a shining example of our brave fine Military Men and Women. It is sad that men like him are not the heroes of our children, but rather the coward liberal elite stars of Hollywood are. Audie was not only one of the strong and the brave of our military, but made a name for himself in the movies back before they turned so antimilitary. His movies are great to watch still today, much better than most of the trash coming out of "tinsel town" today. He should never be forgotten and should be held up as a prime example of what it means to be a true American hero.

Served 1943 to 1946 with Audie in the 5th Army, 3rd Division, H.Q. Bravest man I ever met. It was an honor and privilege to serve and to know him.

I was thrilled to find this site. I am a huge fan of Audie Murphy as is my father, a Naval WWII Veteran. I wonder how many more great things he would have done with his life had he not be taken by the plane crash. With deepest respect and admiration, Louisa Lee

Audie Murphy was a man of courage. I have read most everything I could about his life. He grew up hard and poor, but he proved that he was a man that faced his problems head on and never felt sorry for himself. I wish we had more hero's like him today for our children to look up too.
God Bless America
