Audie Murphy was a man of courage. I have read most everything I could about his life. He grew up hard and poor, but he proved that he was a man that faced his problems head on and never felt sorry for himself. I wish we had more hero's like him today for our children to look up too. Served 1943 to 1946 with Audie in the 5th Army, 3rd Division, H.Q. Bravest man I ever met. It was an honor and privilege to serve and to know him.
