Murphy deserves the US Presidential Medal of Freedom, especially in light of his continued service to this country after WWII.

Thank you for this website devoted not only to a great American hero from WW 2, but also to the history surrounding his life both in and out of the service. As a teacher I applaud and honor all vehicles about American History and great Americans. Again, thank you.

This man gave his life to our United States of America, we should not begrudge him a small piece if metal. My peers were born when he was fighting for freedom and no Communism. As we got older we found him in the movie's now we wait for at least one day a year we see "To Hell and Back" one of the best war made and Audie get's to star, Wonderful

He was my 1st favorite actor. Later when I was in the 7th or 8th grade - around 1968, I found out that Audie was a war hero & the most decorated soldier!!! I am so proud of him & so glad I got to know him by watching his movies along with his movie "To Hell and Back" and the articles about him.

We need to remember our war heros and make sure our children learn about them. They should not be forgotten.
