I have been thru the internet and have found some pictures of the house audie leon murphy was born in off hwy 69 in hunt county texas,farmersville. In one of the photos it says that there is a marker erected to commerate the site of the ole family home stead he was born @. I will locate and pay this area a visit and upon observation will drop the THC in Austin a letter to recommend for preservation and restoration of the ole homestead as well as a state historical site. somewhere on the web it states that more and more people are watching his "B" movies on TV. I don't see why not,he was a very high inspiration to my youth as I grewup.TWT

I remember passing his ranch when traveling north. Sometimes we see would him there. He was a great American and Mason. He is missed but not forgotten.

I just watched the old movie, "To Hell and Back" and was wondering if Audie Murphy's father ever made contact with him after he became a famous hero. Anyone know?
