Audie L. MURPHY was a member of the greatest generation to have ever lived and his time upon this earth was spent in the service and defense of others. I am not of a generation that had the privilege to have seen him or known him but through his movies and his military duty i have come to admire him and commemorate his life. I was born in "43" and the first movie I saw was an Audi Murphy western and then I learned what he had done during the war from my father and I idolized the man ever since. I cried the day he was killed.In my mind this was what a real "Hero" is and always will be. May you rest in eternal peace . Added: January 12, 2016
