I have fond memories of watching Audie Murphy’s with my Dad when I was a child. He was my Dad’s hero and I loved the time we shared enjoying his movies. He was so handsome and had a great voice!

I started watching Audie Murphy movies when I was 8. I loved him . I was 12 years old when he died. I remember hearing it on the radio, living in a small town in Az. I cried and cried all day. He truly was a Great War Hero. They don't make men like that anymore. I'm in my early 60's and it's still on my bucket list to visit his memorial. Glad your watching over America, Audie .
Much respect for this man.
Norma

My stepfather who served in the Army during WW II didn't talk much about his wartime experiences. But, when he did, he spoke reverently about Audie Murphy and his amazing valor.

MY MOTHER, MILDRED PARRIS TOMPKINS WAS BORN AND RAISED IN FARMERSVILLE, TEXAS. SHE NEVER MET AUDIE MURPHY, BUT SHE WAS BEST FRIENDS WITH A WOMAN WHOSE BROTHER MARRIED ONE OF AUDIE MURPHY'S SISTERS.
I HAVE BEEN AN AVID ADMIRER OF AUDIE MURPHY SINCE I SAW HIS PICTURE AND READ ABOUT HIM IN LIFE MAGAZINE WHEN I WAS ABOUT 10 OR 12. I SAW ALL OF HIS MOVIES AND MADE A PICTURE ALBUM ABOUT HIM. HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY HERO. :D :!cool: :!cry: :!devil: :!devil: :) :D
