Audie Murphy's phenomenal WW II heroics were the result of dedication, love, and devotion to friends. It wasn't the fact that he killed but the reasons why he was led to do so that looms large. Humble and unassuming, Audie became an American role model through his movies. I never knew Mr Murphy, but he's had my admiration since I was a child. I and many other Americans will never forget him. ![]() ![]() ![]() Added: June 10, 2023

I started watching Audie Murphy movies when I was 8. I loved him . I was 12 years old when he died. I remember hearing it on the radio, living in a small town in Az. I cried and cried all day. He truly was a Great War Hero. They don't make men like that anymore. I'm in my early 60's and it's still on my bucket list to visit his memorial. Glad your watching over America, Audie . Much respect for this man. Norma Added: May 29, 2023 Powered by PHP Guestbook - brought to you by PHP Scripts

I have always enjoyed Audie in his movies but especially admire him for his Service during the War and afterwards. I remember when he died and the feeling that one of our great American heroes had passed. Sitting here tonight watching his movies that I’ve seen so many times that I remember the dialogue and the scenes.
Audie, a true American hero.
