Hello, After discovering this website tribute to Audie Murphy, I felt compelled to Thank You for continuing to keep it going, even into 2023, and hopefully forever, as he certainly deserves to continue to be recognized. I first became aware of Audie Murphy after being drafted into the Army in 1967, while watching one of his filmed addresses to new troops during basic training. With the rigors of basic, followed by A.I.T. and then a 13 month tour of duty in Vietnam, I quickly forgot about him. After returning home, back to civilian life again in 1969, at some point I was watching a late night movie called "To Hell and Back" starring "Audie Murphy", the well known docu-drama about his Very Heroic WWII service, and re-enactment of his war experiences that brought him so much deserved acclaim. It was then that I remembered watching that filmed address to us in basic training in 1967. He has become one of my most respected heroes of all times. And I continue to enjoy watching his movies every chance I get. Thank You again for providing this wonderful website tribute. I will be returning to it to view the various portions of it as I get the chances to do so. Added: February 22, 2023
