My father lied about his age to weld on submarines in Ct. But joined Army in 1948 and fought in Korea and saw a lot of horror receiving 5 bronze stars. My Dad looked up to Mr. Murphy and we both enjoyed watching his movies. Thanks for keeping his memory strong. Added: January 4, 2018

In my opinion the word "hero" is greatly overused these days for anybody that serves in the military. But in two cases this was not true, Audie Murphy and Alvin York, were true hero's.
