A true hero, years ago I had the Honor to go to Arlington National Cemetery with my wife and stepchildren, the one grave I had to see was Audie Murphy’s, The step kids had no idea who he was, this prompted a quick history lesson, the story of To hell and back.
I do truly think we need to honor our heroes more today than ever in this world of ever lessening morales, give kids someone to look up to.

He deserves the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Certainly more than Joe Biden. Trump should honor the heroes of yesterday as well as today.

I was a teenager who had a crush on Audie. I used to "daydream" about him a lot. He was my hero and we should always honor his memory.

Hi
Just thought i'd compliment you on such a great web site. Loved watching his moviess and think its a shame his memory and greatness isnt remembered and celebrated by more people.
I did notice on your home page that there was a mention of a petition requesting that the United States President award Audie Murphy the Presidential Medal of Freedom. How is this coming along ? Perhaps you should think about setting up a facebook page and link it to this site.

You can almost see the bravery and confidence in his acting.
Yes, he was a real live hero that was acting in Hollywood in what i thought were some good movies. We get a chance thru all the TV and cable/Sat channels to see him again and more often.

I have always admired the service and bravery of Audie Murphy. I served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Viet Nam war (1962-1968). I taught my son about Audie Murphy and his exploits. He wrote a report about his life while in high school and read the book To Hell and Back. I can only say that I was very sad about how he died. One of the newscasters said "the hills of California have done what the entire German army could not, they have killed Audi Murphy". A very sad day for our country.

I enjoyed reading Audie Murphy's biography. He was a great man and hero. I also watch many of his old western movies.
