Comment:
I just ran across a news article concerning two very sharp NCOs at West Point joining the SAMC. First I had heard of it. I read a lot about Audie during WWII when I was a kid. He was one of my heros. Hard to describe my excitement when my father (BG A.P. Fox) came home one day in 1945 to tell me that he had discharged Lieutenant Murphy from the Army at the War Department Discharge Center at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He actually had had a chat with Audie and advised him to be careful of people using him and his fame to make money. Audie thanked him for the advice and was off to a big career in the movie business. All this to say you couldn't have picked a better man for your organization! Added: February 9, 2018 Powered by PHP Guestbook - brought to you by PHP Scripts

I'm old enough to have been a big fan of all his movies and remember my heartfelt sadness when he died. His name will live with me forever.
