Audie has always been my hero. I learned of his heroism while I was in the Army and western movies are my favorite. Just watched one tonight!

How sad to hear that the memory of this heroic and gallant man is fading away with the passage of time. What a credit to his nation he was, many an actor has played the hero but Audie did it for real.He was also a very accomplished actor with a laid back relaxed style that others copied in later years. It was a terrible tragedy that such a fine man should perish in an aircraft accident but i am sure that he met his end with the same dignity and courage in which he lived his very colourful life.Always remembered.God Bless him.

I have always enjoyed Audie Murphys movies and was
pleasantly surprised when I learned of all the medals he
was honored with.

What a life, gone too soon.

Went to the website after seeing a you tube video of Mr. Murphy on "What's My Line". I have long admired him both for his service and his character.
