The only thing I think should've been done doing his life and wasn't......he should've been in a movie with John Wayne. Then we really would have the greatest movie of all time recorded and available to watch and enjoy. These 2 and add in Jimmy Stewart... Just imagine the enjoyment! All have been great losses to the big screen and the people in their lives.

I have always been an Audie Murphy fan, my Father introduced him to me. He is a hero who should never, ever be forgotten. We need more Americans like him.

I always admired him in life, he was so handsome and soft spoken. I plan to get his book "To Hell and Back"
to read in his words what he went thru. The portrait of
him is beautiful.

Few rise to the occasion like Audie. He was a true American and was more willing to do the job himself than to risk the life of a friend. But even he had PTSD and this should tell our government that no matter how brave and how willing a solider is there will be a price that they will pay for years to come. We should use these experiences to pave a way for our future veterans.

When I was young my Father said I should read 'To Hell And Back'. I'm so glad I did and got to learn about this amazing man. Many years later I gave my son the very same book. He intends to pass it on to his son.
