I am a vet and am so thankful for the service Audie Murphy gave to his country. I wish all young adults of today would adopt the dedication to family and country as Audie did by serving for a greater good. I would hate to think what the world would be like today if Audie and those like him had not chosen a path of honor and defeated Germany and Japan, along with their allies. God rest his soul and God bless his family.

Grew up with the name and deeds of Audie Murphy all around me. I admired both the man and the deeds. Most Americans donot understand that most war vets have unseen scares that they carry forever!

Audie was the only male star I had a teenage crush on back in the 50tys. I saw all of Audies movies some more than once. I put together a scrape book of Audie Murphy pictures, my favorite Audie wearing all his medals. My dad also a marksman in WWII with the Marines. Audie is a true hero a man to look up too. Sorry his family lost him so soon but they must be very proud of him. Thanks for sharing the history of Mr. Murphy.

As a boy growing up in Oklahoma I did not miss many chances of missing any of his movies. He did not choose to be the man he was, instead circumstances chose it for him. Better for us he did not walk away from what was in front of him. Bless the boy who was the man.
