I remember Audie Murphy from his western and war movies and have always admired his courage, bravery, and character. I wish more young folks knew more about him. To me he stands tall up there as a True American Hero like Big John Wayne. I have visited his gravesite at Arlington many times. I wish we had more American Heros we could look up to like Audie Murphy. JER 29:11

In this day and age it is a shame that we don't honor our veterans the way they were honored after WW11.
My husband served in Vet Nam and didn't get any recognition at all.

I have been a Audie Murphey since I was a child. Before I knew he was a wae hero. I liked his movies. I am an Air Force Veteran, having served in South Viet-Nam. I have seen almost all of his movies and "TO Hell and Back" several times. I am a member of the VFW, here in Louisiana. I am proud to be an American and Proud of Audie Murphy. My cousin Ralph LaBauve passed away in 2007; He was a decorated U.S.Marine,and served in Korea. God Bless all our Vet erans.

This is one of the greatest men who ever lived. While in the Army "1992-96" I heard of him, never realized how great of a man he was until recently. I wish there were more men like him serving. There are alot of present day hero's and I give thanks but this site is about Audie Murphy. Thank you for you service!

Being Viet Nam vet I am proud to have fought for my country during a time of so much turmoil at home. It gives me much pleasure to know Audie was such a great American. I wonder what his legacy would have been if he would have lived a full life.

We must never forget our lost heros.
