I first saw Audie Murphy in a World War II movie and read the ending remarks. I was very surprised to see that Audie played himself. This was years ago. Ever since then I have been a fan of his. He was just one month younger than my dad was. My dad served in the Navy and was in the South Pacific.

Thanks so much for putting up this website. Many need to know just what kind of man Audie Murphy was. I wish I could have known him personally.

I watched his films when I was young, I thought he was smshing. Then as I became older I found out what he had done in w.w.11 now THAT is whom I call a HERO with capital letters. How they can call pop groups heros I will never know when we have people like Mr Murphy
