Comment:
I think it is a shame that Audie Murphy has been forgotten by generations. Ask students of any age or grade about World War II and they don't know what you are talking about. Ask who the most decorated soldier of that war was and they have no idea. I learned about Audie Murphy when my parents took me to see "To Hell and Back", after that my dad and I would go to see his other movies. I followed his career as I grew up and still watch his movies and have read "To Hell and Back" numerous times. I try to collect all of his movies that I can find, and it's sad that not too many are available. He may have made mistakes in his life, but he is still my hero. Audie L. Murphy should not be forgotten. Added: July 10, 2011 Powered by PHP Guestbook - brought to you by PHP Scripts

Tonight where he is resting
There are no sounds of war.
I pray he's found the peace he sought
and that he's with our Lord.
The last verse of a poem I wrote in memory of Audie Murphy.
