I was watching Whispering Smith on video set I bought, so I begin to look for information about Audie Murphy. I remeber the movies with him in them. I didn't realize that he died so young.

I first learned of Audie in your classic American history class, I was so amazed with his achievements that I bought his memoir. I love the book, this man is a true American hero. Sad that he meet his end so many years later, but his legacy will live on. :)

I've been to Arlington Cemetary three (3 times) and was privileged to pay my respects to this incredible American hero. I hope his family knows how admired he was by all God-fearing and patriotic Americans. We need millions more like him in this country and in our world. This would be a better world if that were the case. May his memory continue to encourage all of us to stand our ground in defense of this wonderful republic.

It's a great that Audie Murphy has his own web site. It was honor. I was selected into the SAMC when I was station at Ft Hood in 1991 when I became a member of a elite group of NCO's Office.
