Growing up watching Westerns and really wanting to be Audie Murphy so all the girls would fancy me instead of Audie. He became a major part of my early life as he was a real life war hero. Sad to hear his star is fading a bit but for me he will always shine brightly. Added: November 6, 2013

this man is amazing and so inspirational which is why I'm doing my 7th grade power point presentation on him. cant believe the battles he was in must have been scary for him but he's brave. and it's amazing he got the medal of honor and was in 40 movies! then sadly died in plane crash . he is a man that shall be remembered forever. with all love and respect, thank you for your service Audie. Audie Murphy has always been one of my greatest heroes, in real life and on the silver screen. In the Army, our platoon sargeant called the recon guys Audie Wayne. Half Audie Murphy and half John Wayne. He was a great citizen, soldier and man. Added: November 4, 2013
