I grew up in Moran, Texas, and during high school in the 1950s, Audie Murphy was my favorite male movie star. Nice that his service to our country is being honored.

I had the Distinct Privilege and Honor to view Mr. Murphy's Museum in Tyler Texas in 1980...I tell others of his accomplishments in WW2.. and him being a famous movie star ..i remember watching reruns of his movies..I'm 51 to young to have seen them at the theaters when they were shown but old enough to remember him and how Handsome he was.He was Truly an American Hero and Icon a part of our History who should not be forgotten...

Audie Murphy is a gentleman for whom I have the greatest respect. In June this year, I had the opportunity of visiting his grave site in Arlingon National Cemetery.
