I was born in 1954 and grew up hearing of Audie Murphy from my father who was a soldier. It is true that it is no the size of man that counts but rather the size of the fight in the man. It is amazing what he was able to accomplish. It is also unfortunate that he suffered from PTSD previously "Battle Fatigue". I now live in McKinney, Texas and have attended his annual ceremony in Farmersville. I am most impressed with his dedication to avoiding tobacco and alcohol advertisements which would have provided him with needed money at the time. God Bless you and your example, Mr. Murphy. Audie is a great hero and a great american. I would hollywood to make a bio on his life. I know they made one years ago but woth today's technology they could show him in the Hollywood light lime he deserves. Im only 30 vut heard stories of audie from my grandfather. Its time the ORIGINAL Hero is brought back into the media and hollywood. Added: January 13, 2015 Powered by PHP Guestbook - brought to you by PHP Scripts

Audie Murphy was a man of courage. I have read most everything I could about his life. He grew up hard and poor, but he proved that he was a man that faced his problems head on and never felt sorry for himself. I wish we had more hero's like him today for our children to look up too.
God Bless America
