Im Conrad Newgrens neighbor connie fought next to audie in WWII.many great stories .connie is still alive and well at 90 living in fargo nd . so connie told me the scene in the movie to hell and back when audie was shooting on the tank and got shot in hip and crawled back to the line dragging his foot.I asked connie where he was? he was hiding behind a tree 50 feet away.this is the stuff that makes me want to say thank you audie
