My father served in WWII, and I can remember growing up and watching Murphy's westerns on TV. Dad told me about Murphy and the story of his life. He was a true American Hero.

Too many times the term Hero is tossed out like to much confetti in a ticker tape parade. The USA has produced damn few genuine heros. Audie being on of the very few that I consider a real Hero. Those of us that haver served and been at the sharp end of the lance know what the true meaning of the term Hero is, and Audie meets that definition. :D

be a HERO, but happenstance makes him one.
For the love of his country, and love for his fellow friends and soldiers he gave his all.
