History has always been a favorite subject of mine, and Mr. Murphy is a part of history. Every man, woman, and child should learn about Aidie Murphy,a true American hero.Granted,he fought in a war that ended 6 years before I was born, but nonethe less he is a part of our being.
He served his country (our country),to protect our freedom, much like many men and women are doing now in Iraq and Afghanistan. It should be the responsibilty of every parent to sit their kids down and give them a history lesson on who Audie Murphy was.May the memory of this man live on. RIP Audie

Audie Murphy's movie, "To Hell and Back", was an inspiration to a poor farmer's family growing up in Iowa. He made poverty less restraining and courage something always be proud of.

I am a retired Master Sergeant who served for thirty two years both in the Regular Army and also as a reservist in an Armored Battalion. I am old enough to have lived through World WarII, the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam War, and conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. However I have never seen action but I do very much appreciate those who have served gallantry and made the supreme sacrifice. I have always been a great admirer of Audie L. Murphy and have seen "To Hell and Back" numerous times.
